Hey all, I'm in the process of detail stripping and cleaning a new NP22 that's had about 250 rounds through it and I've hit a roadblock.

I've had no issues with the disassembly so far except for the seer spring pin which just wont budge. In all the videos on YouTube (of which all are the Sig and not the Norinco) the pin drops freely from the frame. I've put the frame in a vice and given it a few taps but I'm not able to get it to even move.

Any ideas?

when i had my np22 i wailed on mine till it moved

Did it take a substantial amount of hammering to get it out? I just don't want to go too hot and heavy on the hammering but if that's what it'll take to get it moving, I'm willing.

Also, can I replace the firing pin roll pins with the newer solid pins?

the sig p226 can be pushed out by hand, contrast it to the np22 (punch and hammer method) - it take a bit of patience and hammering.

i'm not sure if you can replace them with solid pins. fyi i could not get the roll pins back in flush as it is so tight.

Well, I got back at it this morning and it did come out with a bit of persistence. Dry fitting into the parts shows it's tight but I think now that it's been removed it might be a bit less dramatic next time around. Thanks for the info.

edit: Reassembling the lower, the sear pin immediately has a lot of tension when going through the lower frame into the ejector and requires hammering to get it to go back into place through the ejector, sear and safety.
