Just purchased a NP22. Fit & Finish is far better than my Norc 1911 and just as good as my S&W M&P9.......almost as good. The Grips however are shat.

Without beating a dead horse with a typical Norico thread can someone please advise of any details pertaining to frame composition? I have yet to break it down for a cleaning, but so far it appears the slide is milled and the frame is cast?

The machining is far superior to the Norc 1911. Very little play in the slide with the slide locked open.

The sights seem to be decent...maybe some new paint in the sights will be needed. Mags seem to be better than the 1911 norc mags.

DA trigger is just as pleasant as everyone says. Are there any dealers in Canada who sell Wolf springs?

I like the weight, however with the cast frame and the stock grips the gun feels very top heavy.

Overall I am very happy with this purchase.

I always thought the frame was aluminum because of the light weight

NP-22 mags are great, I run them in my sig p226, they work flawlessly

DA trigger was crap but some polishing and spring change will make it much better, the springs can be ordered directly from wolff

- You are probably right about the frame and I am possibly being thrown off due to the high gloss paint - it just feels cheap?

Probably the nicest finish overall of any Norinco I have seen though.
