Norinco NP29 Magazine issue

Just picked up a Norinco NP29 9mm. For some reason I can't load more than 4 cartridges in the 9 round magazine. I am able to push the follower all the way down other wise. Any thoughts? Cheers

If the follower can be pushed down easily enough but it stops hard at four rounds then there may be a burr inside the mag that is causing the follower to stick when it is held in the right position for loading ammo. Pull it apart and check.

So I fixed it with the dremel..I trimmed a bit of material off the follower where it was getting hung up.. Works like a charm now. Both magazines that came with the gun were doing it..

as stated by BCRider it was probably a bur inside the mag, not the follower that you trimmed... glad it works though! I have a few Norinco's and they all work great out of the box.

For lack of a better word.. The front corner of the follower was getting caught on the rectangular shaped window in the magazine..
