I bought one and I can tell you for certain that the np34 is identical to my p229 and not my p228. It does have a bottom rail and a serrated squared off trigger gaurd. The finish is not as nice as the original but much nicer than I expected. The grips on the P228 and 229 fit on the np34 but the barrel from my p229 has some clearance issue because the thread hider holds the slide back a little so the gun does not go fully into battery. Nice gun to have in the collection and it will not break the bank. Bought mine during a sale and with free shipping.

Any chance of NON-railed version coming in. I have zero use for a rail on any handgun and really don't like the look anyway.

sorry I only have the ones with rails but i do have the np29 which doesn't have a rail . Its a bit more money but might suit your needs. Let me know if you are interested and I will give you a price break on it.
