I would go Savage! Should be easier to get parts and It's made in Ontario cant go wrong with that!

Yeah well I read some pretty good things about the Chinese NS-522.. This is a tough one for me.

edit: I might just get a 70PSS.. Despite not having the 50 yard accuracy of those two guns, it's still an accurate gun and a survival gun.

how easy or hard will the NS-522 be to set up,, sight mounts, and what about spare mags?

Savage is made in Canada, easy to set up, and spare mags are plentiful

522 has a dovetailed receiver, standard .22 rings work so no big deal there.
Mags.....well it comes with 2, no options for spares at the moment.

Got a Marlin 70PSS instead.. It may not shoot as accurate as both but it sure comes close to those two and is a very versatile little rifle!

if i recall getting parts for savage right now is a no go.

i remember reading something about they where not exporting parts to canada for a bit while they did some transition or something...
