Well Marstar got my NP18 back and I received my NZ85B last Friday.
$70 more on the sticker price, but MUCH higher quality than the NP18 I got.
To start, pistol cleaned up very nicely and I replaced the crappy grips with hogue rubber finger grooves sameas ones on my NP-40. I polished the feed ramp with my Dremel and metal polish.
Fired only 50 handloads 124gr RN Cast (wheel weights) with 4.0gr of W231.
Pistol cycled very smoothly. All rounds fed flawlessly. Not one FTF or FTE.
Elevation spot on at 5 yds windage 1" right to POA (for my eyes). Grouping VERY tight
. I will install my adjustable LPA sights on the pistol next week and adjust at 15yds. Will try to post some test targets in a couple weeks. Am taking next weekend off (from the range) to go CCW in the States on my motorcycle
(bad assed biker) LOL.
So far the NZ85B looks very promising and the 9mm's softer recoil makes it interesting to maybe try competitive shooting. At just $349 its a very good buy as was its big brother the NP-40 in 40S&W.
