I was in the same boat and didn't care for the "target" .22s so I kept an eye on the EE and got a 2nd gen Glock 17 with 4 mags and 2 holsters for 600 shipped. Then a Sig Mosquito came up in the EE with red dot and I grabbed that to.
Also picked up a Norc 213 for a good price here. It is all a matter of being patient and watching for the gun you want.
Cant wait for the Sig to get here to hit the range with some .22s and not have to worry about finding the brass in the snow.
