The stock on my shorty could use some work. I thought about ordering a new stock, but from what I understand it would need work in order to fit my Norinco reciever. Thought I'd try refinishing mine first since my only real issue is the finish. Anyone else sanding/ repainting the plastic stock?

Same here. Do the sharp edges with a file or a piece of sandpaper on a block of wood. Use sponge type sanding block to scuff and some Brake-Kleen to clean any residue before painting. The smoother and cleaner you can make it, the better it will turn out. Remove all metal bits and hang it with a piece of wire. Then just shoot with about 3 or 4 light, even coats of Krylon

If you rush it and put your coats too thick or don't wait long enough between coats, you will get drips. I learned the hard way. Also, keep cats away from wet paint unless you like your cats OD green lol
