Norinco Police Model vs Two Tone

I just checked a new Norinco Police Model and was quite impressed by it, so impressed that I now want to buy one. I thought it was much better made and finished than the original Norinco 1911's that were on the marked a few months ago.

I was just a bit disappointed, because before I got to see it, I thought the two tone would be better looking in person. However, they didn't have the two tone model where I checked the all blued one, so I really don't know.

So, for those of you who've had the chance to check both of these models, how would you judge the chrome finish on the two tone? Compared to the blued one, is it better or worse? I'm not really asking which color you prefer, but rather when looking at the metal surface, does it look better or worse than the Police Model? Does it look like it would last or just like a cheap job that will start to peel off in no time? Thanks.

The two tone finish isn't chrome, its a grey coating of some sort. I have already managed to put a small scratch on mine in 2 months. I do think the two tone looks better but the nickel plating on the police model will hold up much better.

The 2 tone is industrial hardchrome. It's more of a flat gray, it doesn't look like stainless, it's somewhat darker. Personally if I was in your position I'd get a blued one, shoot it for a while and if you still "have to have" a 2 tone gun you can either get one or have yours plated.

I saw & handled a two-tone one in person just before ordering the all blued one. Glad I did. 'Course, me being me, as soon as I got it I swapped out the grips, mag release button & slide stop for standard ones. Still have to install a McCormick aluminum adjustable trigger, then it will be to my total liking.

NAA.

Thanks guys! It's looking more and more like an all blued model, unless I can inspect a two tone before I order and it makes me change my mind.

Another example of the blue done. I switched the grips to VZ Gatorback and I also changed the mag release and slide stop to make it IDPA legal. I also added a Marstar magwell and a strip of grips tape for the front strap.
