Howdy guys,
I recently purchased a Norinco reproduction of a Winchester model 1897 trenchgun. The gun works great, and I am happy with it, except for after about every 6-12 shots the bayonet lug/heat shield assembly becomes lose and slides forward just enough for the pin on the end of the magazine to slide out, therfore allowing the magazine to "flop" around. It's an easy enough fix, except no matter how tight I retighten all 3 screws it still becomes lose after a few shots, no matter if I'm shooting light loads, or buck shot and slugs!

Any thoughts on a more permanent fix? Anyone out there having a sililar problem?

Thanks for your help guys. Cheers.

I wedged the mount open slightly on mine, enough to carefully slide one wrap of .001" shim stock between mount and barrel. It took up enough slop in the barrel/mount fit that the screws tightened up. Haven't had a problem with it since.
