I don't know if this is the right thread or not... but I saw a Norinco SKS-D (used) with a 5 round clip, wood stock, flash hider/muzzle break, and rings and sight for $420... according to some of the posts, this seems high to what is expected? Anyone know?

Thanks...

offer $400 and then go buy a 30 rd mag .

Sorry... a scope. Nothing great... so this would be a good price. I just see a lot of posts regarding russian sks's for under $200....

they are not the same , "D" takes AK mag , russian wont ..... there is alot of russian sks in storage but not much of the sks-d made and unless they get a large order they are not likely to make anymore .

BTW, wrong forum, the mod will move it.

Yes, Norinco (The Chinese) are the only one that manufacture the SKS-D and the D stands for detachable magazine. They take AK 47 magazines.

Well, I am expecting that the SKS is not going to be a tack driver, but may be fun...

Not a tack driver but mine goes bang every time with a perfect history of reliability and an acceptable level of accuracy for what it is.

I can hit a man size target at 200 yards 9 times out of 10 with iron sights (no scope). Is that enough accuracy for you? If not, you might want to go with the AR platform or the M14 if you want a non restricted rifle.
