Hi everyone.

There is a norinco sks-d For sale at a local shop and it is $200. I dont know if it is new or used, I didnt get a good look at it. (pretty sure its new) but I was wondering if that was a good deal? according to a few threads I read it is worth anywhere for $300-$500??? idk? correct me if Im wrong, it is hard to get a straight answer sometimes. so I figure it is a good deal. they also seem to be more rare which would make them worth more I would assume.

oh and it wouldnt hold open the bolt and I asked the kid there. He went on to say how they were s**t and are only good for the float test, etc...... but im sure my other norinko sks does unless Im smoking some good s**t.

thanks Noah

FYI these sold for $175 new about 3 years ago. but they all sold out 2-3 years ago. which is why you see prices towards $500 now which is crazy!... (don't know if they are actully selling for that, but the listing is that high)

for $200 grab it!... maybe it's been sitting in his shop for 3 years and he isn't aware they've jumped so much.

if your not going to buy it, pm me the store who's selling it ;)

If its in good condition, I think its safe to say its a good deal mate.

pick it up and then post some picks to rub it in!

Bolt does NOT stay open upon last shot on the SKS D or M variants.

I've shot 12 different SKS-D/M's in my lifetime and countless non D/M's, there is NOTHING wrong with the rifle you were looking at.

Go back and buy it if you did not.

As for pricing. Yup I saw tons of D's @ Lever Arms years ago but did not have a PAL then, $200 area was the going price, an they were the last ones being brought into the country.

For something not made anymore and not brought into the country now $300-500 depending on accessories is very fair. If you don't buy one when you see it, highly doubt you'll ever see it for sale again.

I paid $450 shipped for my SKS-D with 1 5round mag and 1 5/30 with an ATI synthetic stock installed.

I have ZERO intentions of getting rid of this firearm at all. As with my Griz 12.5 its made its mark and it is here to stay.

RARITY played a big role there. You will NOT find one. Those who have them hold onto them or rarely part with them.

Now for the most straight up reasoning to buy a D the moment you see it.

It's an SKS!

It uses super cheap available everywhere ammo!

Non-restricted!!

You can SCOPE IT without having reloading issues. (Try loading off a stripper clip with my scope on...NOT PHYSICALLY POSSIBLE.)

Get soft point ammo and hunt MOST animals with it.

It uses AK mags!!! Grab a 5/75 round drum if you please too. Looks cool right.

Everyone left or right handed can use it. Small children too or even ya grandmother!

Can use most parts off of a regular SKS. (Available everywhere just about.)

Many options for aftermarket stocks.

Do I really need to keep going?

Post deals like this only after you take the gun home not before lest you get tot the gun store and find it gone because of your post. :D

I lucked out, and grabbed an SKS-D (w/tapco T6 stock), with 7 (5 5/30, 2 5/5) mags, TWO "tech systems" peep sights, a scout mount, and 1000 rounds of Hungarian NON-CORROSIVE. Has a few problems, but I got it BNIB NF.

I almost made a mess in my pants.

Saw one for $125 right before my wedding. Right after I bought 3 guns in a couple of days. I made the mistake of telling the wife that I wouldn't buy any more guns until after the honeymoon. Boy was I mad. I shouldn't have bought the 3 guns in the first place though.

My "D" excepts a full mag with the bolt closed. All locks up tight to. Shot her for the first time this weekend. Not one missfire, nice and accurate to. Reminded of my old Gagetown days lol.
