Hello, is it uncommon to find an SKS-M with a pressed in barrel? Would this decrease the value at all? It also has a 160 factory code which I can't find any reference to.
thanks!
***I'm pretty sure that it's an M model, shorter barrel and no bayonet.

no . quite common .... no decrease in value with or without factory code bcos "D" are not made anymore , they will always be expensive in relationship to reg norinco SKS.

Thanks for the info curtton!, any idea on the factory code? It looks like /160\.
thanks again.
It looks like it could be a Chinese Police model. Kinda cool...

Help to ID?

I could use a little help to ID this SKS. What's unique about it is the shorter length of barrel, no bayonet, ? factory code and that it uses AK mags with a different mag release. From a little research it could be either a SKS paratrooper, M model or police carbine. Any help would be appreciated.
