I was un aware that Norinco made the Torkorov in the much smaller 9mm version,..I thought they were all chambered in the powerful 762x25. What are your thoughts on the norinco,.build, accuracy,ETC. i have seen them as low as $169.00 Witch do you think is better ? The original or the Norinco knock-off in only 9mm. Or for that price..does it really matter LOL

If you're only going to own one of them, get a real Tok. much better machining & build - it's a real gun, not, as you say, a knockoff. Ammo is half the price, and there's not all that much difference in feel between the 7.62 and the 9, at least in my experience.

I own both, and prefer the real Tokarev. In fairness to the Norinco, mine is an earlier one, and I don't know if they improved in the last 10 years, so see if you can get your hands on one - you might like it just fine. I don't mind shooting mine, I'm just not in love with it.

I own a type 54-1 Norinco, which is a Chinese manufactured version of the Russian TT-33 Tokarev.
This pistol has both 9mm and 7.62X25 barrels and magazine.
There is no difference in gun size between 9mm and 7.62X25.

What's a Torkorov??:p

2 cents Eh!

There was also a pistol that CanadaAmmo brought in a few years back, the Norinco m-213. It was a copy of the Tokarev, and everyone and their dog bought one I think. It was a dedicated 9mm only, and while crude, pretty good value for $100.

Figured this was worth a shot, Thanks for you time

One thing that is annoying me lately is the amount of people here who feel it is necessary to knock the poster for choosing to buy a Norinco. He wasn't asking for a comparison between manufacturers.
I bought a Norinco 1911A1 and 1000 rounds of ammunition for half of what Colt wants for the gun alone. It works, its not unattractive and with the money saved I can buy 2000 rounds more ammunition or another gun. This is called good money management.
