Hey
I can feel it, it wont be long untill we are shooting these things, so I was woundering what brand of ammo you guys are going to use? I really just want to know where to get some affordable ammo for this gun in the Calgary area? The only ammo I ever buy is for my 10/22...
Ideas or comments
Thx

Ive read the threads, I know the problems, my question was really at buying ammo.

"I really just want to know where to get some affordable ammo"

just tryin to make conversation, I just had the "type 97" on the mind at the time. :nest:

Start with this one:

The odds these will make it through to customers are very slim at this point.

Hardly I'd say the odds are quite good. Time is the only issue. The RCMP know that they made a big error and in typical fashion have decided to that no official decision saves them the best face. That is just another ignorant move an their part that will cost them dearly if this goes to court.

I would not be surprised if they just let it go in the next few months. Why any LE agency would set itself up against law abiding people who generally take personal responsibility to a much higher level the the average citizen is way beyond me. :kickInTheNuts:

Check out TSE ( the shooting edge ) .
TSE has a couple of good deals on fairly inexpensive .223 ammo. I picked up a 1000 rounds. They have diffrent gr. at diffrent prices.

Thx 4x4, What would 1000 rounds cost approx? pard my french, but grains are still a bit confusing for me. I understand it has to do w/ weight of the gun powder in the bullet. That being said I guess since I would need a smaller grain for a 50 to 100 yard targets.

thx
sorry if I offend anyone

My experience is gr has more to do with barrel twist than distance my xcr had 1/9 twist and perfered 62 grain, friends with ars with 1/7 perfer 55 gr

On a side not anyone check there order with can am my says back ordered now ?

The grains weight being referred to is the bullet weight, not the powder load. Heavier bullets typically need a faster rifling twist to shoot accurately.

Grains are just a fine unit of measure. In metric they use grams.

1 gram = 15.4323584 grains

No different than pounds, kilograms, stone, tons, tonnes, etc.
