Best read the fine print. The price perked up my ears too and I jumped over to the Dlask site. But these are DAO or Double Action Only. So it's a LONG pull for each and every shot. I don't mind a DA for the first pull but I want a SA for the suceecesive shots.
I had a norinco 226 copy. We were at a match one day and a fellow CGNer forgot that there was a pistol match after the rifle match so I lent it to him. He was thankful becuase he normally shot a real 226.
We were on different relays obviously, so when he got back from shooting I asked him "How'd it do?".
He said "I am upset!". "What the hell?" I started to think, and then he said "I paid $1200 for a pistol that is pretty much the same!"
He shot well. (Better than me actually)
The Norinco Sigs and 1911s are their best pistols IMHO.
I had an M77 for a day too. I returned it to Marstar under their excellent return policy. I was not satisfied with that pistol what-so-ever.
In your shoes, without a doubt, I would get the 34.

Sorry if I insulted you. Truly did not mean to. I was merely trying to both:
a) be funny (we are all just a little too serious on here sometimes)
b) try to redirect the fact that I am not all that well off
For those of you who care, I have ordered the NP-34 from Marstar and the guy at the other end said I should have it in about 3 weeks. We'll see.

Ha! Yeah, I was reading up on those and looking at some of the pics... it looks like it is definitely a $99 gun! I'm not TOO concerned about wait time as it's still quite cold out... I may still pick one up for range "guests". Then again, I just noticed that there is an NP-20 for sale for $190 on the EE... Hmmmmm.....

I went with the NP34's cousin, the NP22 (Sig226 clone), from Marstar about 5 years ago. I slapped on new grips (Hogues) then proceeded to put nearly 11000 rounds of factory, reload and commercial reload through it. So far, I've had to change one spring (included as a spare in the box). For the price I paid, I'd definitely say I got my money out of it.
Sweet! Thanks j-man, I was hoping to see a review like that pop up. As the NP-34 is so close in design to the NP-22, I'm sure I'll get my moneys worth out of it as well.
Now I just need to find a set of Hogue grips for it....
