I keep hearing about how much better the soviet toks are better than the norks so I took some pics of mine with a nork 1911 for fun.

Here is a pic showing the slide to frame fit. The norks are both reasonable, the soviet is "completely impervious to dirt". Left to right nork, soviet, 1911

Here are some pics showing the up and down play in the soviets bushing to slide fit. Maybe 20 thou? The norks have maybe two thou, just enough so you can see it.

Now a pic of the inside of the slides & top of the barrels. The wear on the 1911 worries me, it has 400 rnds through it. Left to right soviet, nok, 1911

Here is a shot of the lower barrel lugs. As far as I am concerned the fit on all three sucks ass. All three guns are relying on the link to lock up the barrel. The the hole in the soviet link is actually a little oval so it has been that way for a while.

The nork tok has 1500 rnds put through it by me plus what ever the previous owner put through it. The soviet has whatever it saw in service + 200 by me. All three guns are reliable, the two norks are the better shooters but that is not to say they are very good. Any comments?
