Norinco

Hey, anyone out there own or acquired a Norinco bolt action in 7.62 x 39. I purchased one about two years ago and mounted a 3 x 9 x 40 Bushnell. Just looking to hear from anyone who used it for hunting, what they shot and what results they got. Kind of reluntant to hunt with it, but the gun is well put together and accurate. I have loaded 150 grainers for it. Thinking about using it for deer, need opinions.

Well it pushes bullets at around .30-30 velocities(ammo I saw cronnied). I assume those 150gr bullets are soft points, it should do fine out to about 200 depending on your personal comfort. I have a buddy who shot a large doe with an sks and handloaded 125gr(I think) soft points the result of the head shot he made at 60 paces was impressive.
