Norinco14/Poly M14

Whats is the difference's between Norinco and poly 14 rifles, Both made in China ?Was there not ten years ago just Poly 14s?as in sold in the USA. were there any M14s made in metric?
Quality in Norinco M14s made and marked 2007 seem to be good rifles for the bucks, are the others better ..

On a side note, I cringed when I saw the name "Poly Tech" M14... just an unfortunate reminder, and a really bad coincidence.
