Anyone have comments on Norma brass? Good? I'm looking to secure about 500 rounds of Diamond Line .308 and wonder if it should be going in the general Winchester pile I pick up from the range or the "good stuff" pile.

It's good brass. Keep it separate from the rest, simply because it'll be a (somewhat) matched batch. It's not "supreme" brass, but it is pretty good.

Winchester brass BTW is quite good.

Norma, forget it, it's scrap. Send it to me and I'll take care of it for you (I'll even pay the postage):p

Norma brass is right up there with Lapua although it is a little softer. Top shelf brass.

I have alot of Norma brass in 308 Winchester I think it is great brass. i consider it fully prep winchester brass. more consistant neck thickness drilled flash holes instead of punched, greater tolerances from case to case. You will be pleased.

In my experience the weight variance of Norma brass in .308 Win is higher than Lapua. Other than that it's good stuff.

Common knowledge that it is softer than Lapua or Winchster, but usually consistent. Yeah we sell Lapua, but have feedback from thousands.

Regards,

Peter

Thanks again for the input - my 700 LTR seems to like the 168gr Hornady A-MAX; though I was peeved to see that the primer pockets are crimped in the factory loaded stuff :/

Now that you've planted the seed, I might have to order some Lapua Peter...shipping to the great white north might not be great though :p
