Norma TAC22 ammo

I will likely be trying my ammo out this weekend. Any particular gun you'd like me to try it out of?

CZ452 Ultra Lux
CZ455 stainless
CZ457 Varmint MTR
CZ 512
Anschutz 54
Savage MKII BTVS
Ruger 10/22 VLEH
Ruger 10/22 stainless takedown
Ruger 10/22 sporter deluxe
Browning BL22
ISSC Scout
Henry Golden Boy
Chiappa Little Badger

I realize every gun shoots differently but it could at least give you an idea.

Sure. Great. The Annie and Ruger VLEH. Thanks.

There is also Norma 22 in a white box, Norma USA Match. I will have some in a week to compare to the red box TAC 22USA type. I see latest ammo is not marked USA. Local area dealer who had some ran out.

Thanks for your contribution. Appreciated.

Hey 45Auto-realized I had 2 types of Norma when I went out to feed the mosquitoes and deer flies this afternoon. The black box SUBSONIC 22 was just OK, the JAKTMATCH (which also says "TRAINING" on the side) was pretty decent, maybe slightly better than CCI SV. Neither a repeat for the Tikka. Best groups today came from SK Standard, but i also didn't get to the SK Rifle Match. (or several others)

I'll try both Normas again when I get the YoDave kit in the other rifle. On a cooler, less buggy day. :)

Thanks for the report w pic. Will be curious to see how Norma compares to SK Standard+. I find that most of the SK lineup shoots very well in my rifles.

So I had a small window to get out today. Nothing official I grabbed a pizza box to shoot at. All shots were taken exactly at 50 yards in a southern Manitoba forest of a wobbly table and champion swivel bipod. Not the most stable setup but i did what i had to do to get out. I didn't measure anything but you should be able to extrapolate from the size of holes. The top right group of the 455 has 7 shots in it all others should be 5.

Every round went bang. They seemed to have an abundance of lube on them. Very similar to previous RWS ammo I've used. The VLEH and 455 ran perfectly. No hiccups. Smooth loading. The 457 MTR was tight. It wasn't impossible to load but it wasn't super comfortable either. If you're looking for speed those aren't the rounds for it. Accuracy was disappointing in the VLEH, the 455 wasn't great either, and it seemed ok in the 457. I expected better out of the 455. It would group 3 or 4 close and have 1 or 2 flyers. You might be able to get rid of some of those flyers through weighing and measuring but I don't currently do that. From initial usage I'd compare these to S&B and under CCI Standard Velocity.

Sorry about not getting all the asked for guns into the initial test. And sorry for doing limited groups. I didn't have a lot of time.

.22LRGUY, what kind of results, groups, did you get with the T1X and the Norma? Pictures? Measurements?

The dog ate them. lol I may have, I'll check the garage. I know I grabbed the SK STD target off the board. I wouldn't want to base your ammo buying decisions on my groups from this day anyway, I'm not at my best when swarmed by mosquitoes. Didn't even bring the CZ, knew it wouldn't be a long session. lol
