North Forks in Canada?

Iwas looking into these also but came up dry:(
You will have to ship them to someone in the states and they can forward them to you here, I can't see any other way! They won't ship to Canada.

I spoke to Mike Brady, the owner of North Fork recently, and he is still not exporting to Canada. He is however interested in doing so if he can find a business in canada set up to do so.

BTW, I have 48 of the little beasties left for my Norma, not that I'm hoarding them or anything! ;)

I wonder what sort of hoops one would have to go through to become an importer? I have a US post box and drive down (mostly to clear the junk mail!) every 10 days or so. I wonder if there would be enough of a market here for it to be worthwhile? Perhaps an established importer like Marstar could take them on?

I dropped a line to Mike @ North Fork as well and he gave me a ring tonight, which was a bit of a surprise. His suggestion, is to badger one of the big retailers (Wholesale, Russells, etc.) and see if they'd be interested in carrying them. Problem is, of course, whether the sales volume for a premium bullet like that would be worth their while. He said that the cost of an export licence is something like $2,000; hardly worth his while, but for moderate quantities he could sell to a retail outfit here by going through a US broker, who would only charge him a percentage to do the paperwork.

AccuracyPlus in Peterborough is carrying Woodleighs (the old Kynoch designs), but they come from Australia and the import/export hassles are probably much less problematical.
