Bear season is just around the corner and after a long and stressfull winter I'm getting excited. With these warm temps are you guys expecting to see black bears up early this year and when ( in past years) do you normally see the first signs of them?

I don't usually see the first signs (or bears) until second or third week of April. I'd only expect them to be out earlier if this warm weather lasts a few weeks

First week of May is when I have found them out in greatest numbers as soon as the grass starts greening.

Seems that warmer weather doesnt make much of a difference ....3rd week of April is when they start moving in my area.

doing pipeline we usually start seeing them on the grassy hillsides in may.... usually dopey as all get out and just eating and eating.
