Hey guys!

As the title says, I am in need of some pictures of a Norwegian Krag 1912 Carbine. I am having one restocked and need some good, clear pictures of the upper handguards and how they are attached to the rifle. I am attempting to have a sporterized example returned to full military trim as originals are as rare as hen's teeth around here. I don't have any handguards so they are being made from scratch. If you have such a rifle, if you could pass along some pics to me that point out the upper handguards and how they are fitted, that would be appreciated. Even a link to a web site or page that shows these details would be very helpful.

Thanks in advance!

Google Foo. I've a few pic's...nothing to equal Google though.

Few years back I was inquiring about my Krag on another forum.
A member was nice enough to post a few pics of the sporterized 12 and the new furniture he had made up for him.
Turned out very nice.

Hey Husky, if you happen to have any pics showing the rear handguard and how it attaches to the rifle that would be great. There are several pics of these carbines on the web but nothing in regards to the attachment of the guards. Your pic is what I'm hoping to get accomplished - I just love the look of this model Krag!

These were the only other pics he provided.
Could try and contact him if needed to ask for better pics I guess.
He told me the gentlemen who made his furniture lives in Norway.

Funny that the above seem like a machined 'Catch collar ' on the rear of the guard... my pics show it as stamped metal.
Mine are by 'Mowbray and Puleo'...if you have to ask who that is... you've a ways to go in the milsurp game yet.

Thanks Husky! I know of the guy that was making these in Norway but he's seemed to have fallen off the radar for quite some time now. I'll pass along your pics to the place doing the work and see if they help them any.
