Can anyone tell me if the Norwegians were the only ones who used dowels to do a wrist repair on K98's? I've come across a Early War stock (WaA 26) with 5 dowels through the wrist, no laquer finish but still has a good wood patina. Nice clean repair job. The buttplate is original/matches with no post war numbers, all the bands match. Also, can I assume it is safe to use?
Thanks
