I think something is amiss here, there is no way there could be a 165 grain 25 caliber bullet.
Post the link of where you saw it.

It will kill most everything you could kill in N. America. With one small issue..............
Impact velocities in excess of 2800fps with this design of bullet are known to give somewhat iffy results, most often complained about is the lack of straight line penetration, and gruesomeness of the entrance wound and accompanied blood shot meat.

FWIW the Combined Technology line of Ballistic Silvertip's(same bullet diffrent colors) has been around for a number of years.

As a point of interest, I used the ballistic tips in my 06 many years ago. Took deer with them at various ranges without a failure. They were very accurate in my rifle, followed closely by the solid base bullet then the partitions. At the time it was felt the polycarbonate tip resisted deformation in the magazine and increased retained velocity, though how important this was I don't know. I did think they retained velocity well. So, if the new ones are anything like the old ones I certainly wouldn't hesitate to use them. I might even prefer them for deer sized game. Like others I would favour the partition for bigger game like moose, elk, bear. I had a friend that used nothing else for years hunting moose though, and he certainly approved of them highly. He killed many more moose than I ever have, too. Just as an aside, I found the SST's to be very good in my 6 mm, again same basic idea for the tip. Now that I think about it, I can recall the saber points brought out by CIL. I remember my dad had some for his 06. They had a white tip on them, probably nylon. Some good ideas just seem to come around again don't they.:) fred
