Hi,

I was testing my new digital scale a few days ago (40$ MTM Case guard) by weighting some Nosler bullets.

At first I weighted the 180 gn. Ballistic tips : Average 180 gn. +or- .1 grn

Then just for Fun I weighted the accubonds 180 gn. : the result was a spread all the way between 179.6 gn and 180.4 gn.

Isn't it weird that the accubond have a bigger weight tolerance than the ballistic tip, since your paying like 25%-30% more for them? If so I guess it kind of shakes your confidence in them. Or is it just my scale that's crap and I should bring it back :p

I don't think that there is anything wrong with your scale, I don't think you can equate price of bullets with their weight ranges. I'm sure that solids or TSX bullets would be closest in weight differences, but for most shooting esp. hunting , it doesn't amount to anything. For match bullets that I make and sell, I weigh everyone and segregate them into what I call "lots".

Good, I was wondering if the scale was good and if we could still trust such a variance In hunting bullets.

Guess I got my awnser Thanks alot ... again :)
