Bought four boxes of Nosler .308Win 165gr. Accubonds at the local gunstore with anticipation for using them for deer in the fall. Haven't been out to the range yet to do some groups and chrony work with them. Question I have is this a good round for deer? Input and suggestions please.

To me, they're much better big game bullets than the Partition. The nose tends to open in an "explosion" while the thicker jacket of the body mushrooms perfectly, keeping most of the weight, thus energy, to keep going through the body of the game. I never recovered any AccuBond on games, but did a lot of media testing. Great bullet in my humble opinion.
I use it in many calibers but mainly hunt with 9.3X62 and .358 Norma. Accuracy is as good as it is with Partition.

Funny for me it is the total opposite and I went back to my proven partitions. I found they were too fragile and came apart big time on close shots real bad if bone was hit
Mainly 243, 270, 280 and 308 I reload. But a lot of guys sware by them. Maybe I am just too old to change also. I have never had an issue with a Partition for many many years using them.

i use them in the Winchester Supreme loading, strictly in my Rem700 .270win . it loves it an have shot Red deer and Fallow stags and Sambar Hinds with it an many Foxes cats an a few other critters...
reccommend it to younger lads with also their first big game rifle(270) when they ask about the Big browns...being sambar!

I started using them two years ago in my .280. I've shot Two muley (140 grain, .284 at 450 yards and 30 yards) and one WT (160 grain, .284 at 40 yards). Through and through on both close shots without much meat damage, although no bone was hit on either. Recovered the bullet on the 450 yard shot, typical expanded bullet.

Way less frangible than ballistic tips, I really like them. I'm using 200 grain ABs in my recently acquired .300 H&H.

I find them the best combination of accuracy, ballistic coefficient and terminal performance. My friends like TSX and TTSX, but they have a lower BC and I have always been able to work up a better load with the AB.

I've shot no end of mulies and whitetails with the .284 140 grain accubond in three different 7mms(2.280 Rems and a .280AI),mostly over RL19 or RL22.These loads are extremely accurate and provide one shot kills from 25 to over 300 yards. What more can you ask! Mur
