FEllas iv remembered reading on here about the Nosler ballistic tip jacket being changed an all was good there,

someone had photos of the bullets sectioned? my question is, the Accubonds are $70 per 50 here and the Ballistic Tip "hunting" are like $45 per 50 ......... are these BTs anything like the Accubonds performance?
ive recovered a handful of ABs now, all perfect..... far side just under hide?

similiar league in 30 cal or chalk an cheese?

i believe i will have some Woodleighs in 150 turn up soon, if not i wasss thinking BTs but proberly not for Sambar....

i guess the Bts arnt bonded?

Ballistic-tips and Accubonds act a lot alike...........until they don't. The heavier Ballistic-tips are a lot tougher than people give them credit for and there isn't a moose or elk in the country that I wouldn't plaster with a 150 grain 7mm or 180 30 Cal.

I’ve always found the bt to be slightly more accurate...I chalk it up to the bonding. However the difference is negligible and use the ab for big game.

Following with interest.

AB's have been terrific for results. I dont honestly have a field comparative for BT's but my son is giving a go this fall.

Dogleg's posts have never steered me down a disappointing path. Switched to a bonded and would not hesitate on any shot i needed to execute. For myself this is money when lining up on an animal.

Woodleigh's have been on my mind for a while now. I will get to them in due time.

Best regards WL

It greatly depends on the particular bullet, and even which generation of that bullet. the latest version of the 180gr .308" Ballistic Tip is actually a very tough bullet, I have driven them through both shoulders of an elk out of my 300RUM, at 3340fps, and they retained around 60% of their weight. The first generation, in the red and green box were much softer, and I wouldn't them on moose or elk, except at much lower velocity.
