Looks like nosler is going to stick a plastic tip on a barnes tsx and patent it as a new bullet that will hit stores this fall. If this isn't an admission that the other guy has a better product I don't know what is.

Haven't seen much mentioned on this round yet, thought some might be interested. It will be interesting to see if it is an improvement on the barnes product (as they suggest) or not in terms of testable performance increase.

Actually they are positioning themselves to be ready for when California bans all lead projectiles for hunting. No sense for Nosler to give up a market of over 355,000 hunters.

Not at all. They're simply pandering to the corner of the market that is convinced that they need 100% weight retention. The successful businessman will sell people what they want, not what they need
 
I think its a good idea and may prevent some of the pencilling through reports that may be caused from the orifice in the front of the tsx being deformed or closed by damage done in the magazine or feed ramp. Could make a good thing better.

Doesn't it already exist in the form of the MRX though and you haven't seem them take on the popularity of the TSX? I'm all for improving a good thing as I said it will be interesting to see how it performs in comparison.

At two bucks a bullet I don't think the MRX will ever knock the TSX off the shelf. At those prices, you want to develop you load in 5 rounds or less.
