Anyone have good results with these projectiles. I'm thinking of using them for hunting deer after doing some research on residuals on venison with regular expanding lead types. I was looking into the new Nosler 168 grains but might end up with the 150s because they seem to easier to find. :)

I tried them in my .243 and could not get them to group...at all . The rifle is a 1 " shooter with other loads so i was kinda baffled. I will try seeting them a little deeper as i have read that a "jump" into the lands is desirable with them. On the other hand i tried some hornady sst bullets in the same rifle for the first time last night and got 3/4 " groups right off the hop with the first load i tried...so go figure:confused:

I tested RL19 loads using ETips in my 300 WSM. Accuracy was acceptable (average for 5 3 shot groups = 1.47" (.95", 1.98", 1.32", .93", 2.15") - might have had one flyerin the = 2.19" group (1st two withen .5" of each other). However, no load went over 2900 fps and the "accurcacy load" was just over 2794 fps (30-06 velocities in a magnum rilfe).
Conclusion - accurcay was good, velocity was poor (longer bullet = less powder). Note - this was done without trying different bullet seating depths - bullets were seat 0.100" off the lands (as per most common recommdendation found on the Nosler Reloading forum).

tried them in a 280 I had a couple years back. Found they fouled the bore terribly quick, and accuracy went from ok, to great, to terrible all within a few groups........hesitant to try them again

I used them last fall in the 300rum.Worked great, took a Elk at a long ways and a Whitetail Buck.I will be using them again.

Used winchester e-tips 180 gr and brought down my first moose ever. She fell right where I shot her.
