Nosler E-Tip

444 - I'll tell you right off the bat I am not a Nosler fan but I reload for a friend and his son in law. I reloaded a box of 165's E-tip for his son in law for his 300 Win. He took a whitetail buck last year and I was impressed. It was shot head on in the chest, mushroomed perfectly and retained probably 80% of it's weight. I would pick this bullet over the partition anyday.

Thanks for the responses. I have been reading many similar comments. I hope to head out soon for deer, and will be trying them out.

Got out to the range this morning and did some initial load testing with the E-Tips. Looking promising.

Rifle is a M70, and I started at 81grs of RL22 and worked up to 85grs.

I am a huge fan of the Accubond. I have taken deer and bears with my 7mm Rem Mag using 140 grain Accubonds and they are great. I was hoping someone would have a report on these E-Tips as well as I am sure they are as accurate as the Accubond. If they kill as well as the Accubond I think they will be a big hit.

I used the e-tips in my 300 rum this fall, was very impressed.I shot a cow elk at a very long distance(for me)Both shots went right thru the body of a good sized elk.I will be using them alot more.

Hey 444,

I am very interested in your results too.

What velocity are you getting?
I have the same rifle and had a bit better accuracy and velocity consistency with 7828 than Reloader 22 when loading Barnes bullets.

norskie,

Sorry, did not have the chrono with me. I will be going out again soon, and will get some velocity numbers. I will be also trying some 180gr Partitions.
