Well found a what I think was a good deal on a new nosler 48 liberty rifle in 30 nosler from a dealer that had them on sale.
Without thinking it over much I put a deposit on it to be picked up in the next week or so.
Any input good bad or indifferent is appreciated.
Thx

I have a 35 Whelen and a 308 in the M48 Legacy. Love them both and for the past 4 years they have been my go to rifles (beating out 2 Sakos and a Tikka in competing calibers that now languish in my safe) and have accounted for half a dozen bears, 3 deer and 4 feral hogs in that time. The 308 will shoot sub moa with virtually anything I feed it. The Whelen is a little more fussy but with the right hand loads is also sub moa.

Friend had a Nosler rifle rifle. Watched him struggle to get that POS to shoot under 3 inches. There wasn't and still might not be a warranty centre in Canada. The retailer went broke, and Nosler more or less told him to F off at SCI. Ended up dumping it cheap.

Other than that it's cherry.

I have had a couple, have a long range in 33n left. Both rifles were accurate, the longrange is a very accurate rifle. The actions have a pretty sloppy bolt to action fit if you are expecting to have a feel that compares to a full custom. They put a pile of clearance in there, I haven't measured but its a lot. Fit and function was well done on both of my rifles.

The one thing I would do is go with a one piece rail for a base, the nosler action is pretty long and two piece base/rings can limit where you can place your scope.

Did the first 10 rounds of the barrel break in the other day. ...cleaning after each round. Rounds 8, 9 and 10 shot into less than 1/2 inch at 100yds.
Really happy with it so far!

I shot one in 26 Nosler awhile back. A fellow range member was kind enough to let me take it for a burn. It piled three up pretty tight (1.5")on the 200 yard going. I would buy one if I had the cash and the right deal came along.
