Hello. Lately I've been looking for Nosler 300 Win. Mag. brass. It's hard to find anything, let alone the Nosler brass. I was at a gun show today and couldn't find any again. I did find 100 Norma brass though. Three fellows I spoke to said that Nosler brass is made by Norma and is the same thing. Is there any truth to this? The brass I bought was once fired and I paid $8 per 20 brass. Thanks, Eric

Nosler brass is made by many companies. The .308 and .300 Win Mag resemble Federal Gold Medal Match as much as anything, includeing being very soft. I had to abandon the Nosler in these two calibers and went with Norma instead. Norma is a lot tougher, and the primer pockets stay tight.

I bought a box of nosler .308 and got three firings out of most of them. They are incredibly soft. Loads that shoot with no pressure signs in winchester brass give sticky bolt lift on nosler stuff. This is not because of internal capacity variation but from soft brass! Very uniform and accurate but longevity is terrible.

The 264 win & 7mm rem Nosler brass acts very much like winchester brass. Good brass, pretty hard and the neck uniformity is quite impressive. Turning the necks I found less than a half thou difference on both lots I had and I turned 200 rounds in the 264 and have a few more to go with the 7mm Rem that I formed to 257 wby. I have yet to use the 257 cases so we'll see. I have found their brass to have a slightly smaller case volume than other companies, which was mentioned causes higher pressures sooner. Be a good idea to start low and work up with this stuff.

I have 50 Nosler 7mm rem mag brass. I've only had time to fire them once though. But, they do seem very uniform. They all weighed out very close, primers all seemed to go in with the same amount of resistance, necks were uniform in thickness. I hope the 7mm are durable like the Winchester brass is. I have heard alot of bad things about the 300 Win Mag brass from Nosler. Soft and inconsistent is what I'm hearing. I stopped using Federal brass cuz it's too soft for my liking. I've got the Norma sized and tumbling right now. Hopefully it works well.

Thanks for the info. Anybody else out there have info about Nosler brass?
