Nosler RDF Bullets

I’m shooting the 140 6.5’s. They shoot real good good groups but haven’t taken them out to distance yet. They seem to be fairly jump insensitive. shoot great at .100” and have read on other places guys are having there best groups with a large jump.

Has anyone had much experience with this line of bullets. Interested in the .224 dia. 70 gr.

I emailed Nosler and they replied that the 70gr .224 will require a minimum 9" twist and the 140gr .264 require minimum 8" twist.
I haven't had a chance yet, but I will be trying them in 223 Rem and 6.5x55 Swedish.

Thanks for the reply's. I am shooting a .224 rifle with a 8 twist. I have been shooting Berger 70 gr vlds but if these are more consistent I would like to give them a try.

I shoot them in the summer and they shoot pretty good for me, but Im having more luck with the TMK's.

What are you planning to do with these? Just some paper steel?

Actually I use this gun for coyote hunting. I tried the sierra tmk's and with he load that I tried the Bergers preformed a little better. But when it is minus 20 out I ddn't try to many groups or loads. The Bergers seem to be fairly fur friendly havn't shot a coyote with the sierras yet.

My favorite bullet for coyotes right now is the 69gr TMK. I would be trying the 77's if I had a 8tw. They also work good for shooting steel.

You should really try tweaking that load some since its a whole new bullet.

What caliber are you shooting and what powder? Will likely do more testing both with the sierras and the noslers as weather permits.

I've run over 3k of the 175 RDFs through my match gun and they run great. They're the go to round for everyone shooting matches down south in Limited/Tactical where we're restricted to 175-178s at or under 2750fps. They often don't shoot in factory barrels though. In my Benchmark they make cloverleafs at 100, when I tried em in an old factory Rem 20", they shot shotgun patterns, haha.
