Nosler Solid Base bullets

I recently acquired a few of these in .284, how do the Nosler Solid Base bullets compare to the Nosler Ballistic Tip or A-Max.
Are they a big game bullet or would they be more suited for deer.

They are nothing more than the Ballistic Tip with a lead tip rather than plastic. (In fact they were the forerunner of the BT) Use them for the same animals you would use a BT for.

I had a box of 180 gr Nosler Solid Base bullets 2 years back, I used it on a gemsbuck hunt. Very accurate and excellent performance on big game. Wish I could get more.

It's true, they advertise them on their website. I haven't seen any on the shelves yet though.
