Not sure what i have here....

For many of the posters above, the rear sight ears have been ground off - I doubt it still has the upper hand guards - it has been severely "sporterized" - not in many ways close to being original - so about nothing more can be done to it to "de-value" it as an "original" - as is, it is probably a pretty decent deer or moose rifle. There are several here, like that one is now. I have two RE made P14's here - the asterisk (star) on the receiver is noting that one is probably a Mark I* version - so look at the rear end of the barrel - around the chamber - pull the bolt back and look in there with a flashlight - the original Mark I had a totally flat rear end on that barrel - except for the extractor cutout - the Mark I * will have like a quarter circle or more groove milled around the chamber entrance - to accommodate a longer left bolt lug on the bolt.
