im buying a savage f/tr in .223 for target shooting, iv only ever used hunting scopes, i know i want adjustable target turrets but im not sure what other features i need

im going to be shooting between 100 and 600 yards

im not really familiar with mill dot reticules is that something i want?

im looking to spend about 500 bucks

I like a MiDot for longer hunting shots on yotes but Im sure some of the guys that compete will be along to help with target scope preferences.
