I think that is in poor taste, too.

When I say "don't hide" I don't mean act like a jackass and I dont' mean we should "shock" people, rub thier faces in it or whatever. I just mean we shoudl act "normally" and gathering food is NORMAL.:)

Agreed. I was making a point that some take it to the extreme.
 
I know a guy who used to hang the deer's head (with the tongue sticking out) over the end gate of his truck and drive through the city on the way home.

You need to let those little girls watch you clean and pluck some ducks. The longer you wait the harder its going to be to introduce your kids to hunting.

There are an awful lot of hunters out there who have non-hunting children....Don't become one of them by waiting too long.

Kids don't have the same thought processes as adults do. You'll be surprised what kids will take to be normal if they are introduced to it young enough.
 
We came home looking like this in 05 from 900Km away. We sure got a lot of looks on the highway. At the gas stations we only received slaps on the back and congrats. Got stopped at Valleyview by the SRD and RCMP and came away friends with them all. As long as you're legal I don't care what the rest think anymore. I am too weary to trying to live up to everyone's expectations.

Nowadays, wen you do that, it is considered dangerous and crazy. and police are called.

The more you HIDE something, the more people are distanced from it, and the more they re suspicious of it.

Don't ever HIDE that you hunt, or own guns. It's NORMAL to hunt.

Hunters and shooters that decided to "hide" their activities have done MORE disservice to their fellow hunters than any anti hunter. We should have just kept on doing what we did. Hiding hunting and shooting marginalized us, and we might never recover from it.

Gatehouse, you expressed my thoughts for me, very well!! And better then I could have done!
 
A controlled hunt is about the number of hunters allowed into a WMU. Groups(max of 4 hunters in a group) can apply, but that doesn't change the number of deer that can be taken. One deer per tag.
