Seeing as I am new to the world of black rifles....
what, if any mods can I do to the SR22? Am I correct in assuming that
most of the AR platform aftermarket stuff will work?
Thanks for your time!
I have an SR-22 and I am scared. Very scared. I fear that the SR-22 has the potential to become the crack cocaine of the gun world. No, scratch that, it has the potential to become the crystal meth of the gun world....
You see, what you have in the SR-22 is the perfect storm for an addict like myself. You start off with your basic Ruger 10/22, arguably the most popular semi-auto rimfire ever sold. And easily the most accessorized gun the world has ever seen. If you can dream it, someone is already selling it for the 10/22. There is nothing out there that compares to the 10/22 aftermarket. Well, almost nothing...
So, you take your 10/22 with virtually unlimited aftermarket pimping potential and you put it in a very nice tactical looking stock kit that accepts virtually every accessory and ding-dong-dangle ever made to go on an AR-15; the second contender for the title of most accessorized gun ever made!
Now what Ruger has concocted in their dark and secret laboratory by combining two of the most highly addictive substances ever known to gunnutz, Is a gun so highly addictive that merely holding one puts the average gunnut into an uncontrollable buying frenzy.
It starts off with the overwhelming urge to buy the SR-22 on the spot and before the gunnut even knows what hit him, he is of on an out of control binge of adding bits and changing pieces and just needing one more thing to finish the project... until our poor gunnut is sitting alone, dazed, naked and flat ass broke, on his living room floor holding the only thing in life that means anything to him now; his precious (and highly accessorized) SR-22 and wondering where the next fix is coming from....
So heed my words of caution; beware the SR-22. You may think you are strong enough to resist it highly addictive lure, but know that many a strong man has become hopelessly hooked and are now slaves to their addiction.

You might think I'm joking but I'm not too far off! These are very addictive little guns! I don't think I know anyone that has one that hasn't already spent at least a couple hundred buck on aftermarket goodies for it!
