Not Trophies but I will eat !

never had a pass through? What bow\broads heads were you using? I've used the boltcutters since i bought an excal a few years back and every deer has had one. ( all broad side). Anyway good shooting and im lookin forward to all your coyote pics and stories.

Thanks Guys and thanks Spank for the info. I didn't even know that. The only rabbits we have here that turn white is the snow shoes ...

Yes good old snowshoes!! Taste like the gut snowshoes were originally made from! LOL And yes they turn white in winter, hence the name Varying Hare. P.S. I think it is really cool you shot that "Jack" with the crossbow!

I generally shoot a compound bow , but I also own this Older Excal with the carved tip limbs. I've now shot 3 different game animals with it this fall and the broadheads I was using was to light and would not get the penetration so I guess I was not getting the energy and the arrows were only going in and the fletching's would always stick out. In September, After I took a 1/4ing away shot on a bear and never got it, I was ready to hang up this crossbow, until the guys on Excal told me that I needed 150 gn broadheads with this older bow. I went out and bought some right after and this was the first chance I got to try them.

I was very much happy to see the pass through this time...
