Does anyone have any info. on when the Savage 110 FCP HS precision (338 LM)will be available for sale in Canada (delivery to dealers has started in the US)...I've been looking at this gun since it was listed on the Savage site this summer and read a report done by Guns and Weapon in their Oct. issue...pretty sure this will be my next purchase but I haven't found it listed any where on Canadian Sites. Has anyone heard anything and what opinion do you guys and gals have on this gun for a long range hunting platform.

Did you call any dealers?
They have direct contact with the Distributor and would know for sure.

Yes, the local dealers I've contacted didn't know anything about it and couldn't be bothered to take the time to get an answer...guess I'll just have to keep watching the larger dealers sites and when its availible order another gun out of town.

Have you thought to contact Savage directly?

Why do manufacturers insist on installing a 26" barrel on a 338 LM when the guys that build them and wring them out at distance invariably hand 28" or more?

There are three models set for late fall delivery (that usually means winter). The 110FCP HS Precision Stock ,338 Lapua has a 26" HB, fluted with a brake and 5 rnd det. mag $1450. The 111 Long Range Hunter 338 Lapua in what appears to be a black syn. Savage stock, same barrel and brake as above and with a 5 rnd det. mag, $1188. The last is the 10FCP in 308 Win, 24" heavey fluted barrel, 10 rnd det. mag, camo syn. Savage stock, $1175. All appear to have one peice weaver/pic. rail. Phil.

I just read a review at the magazine rack. I think that rifle at that price puts me in the market!!!!!! I would prefer a 300WM also, is there any indication of it being offered later?
