I discovered my front sight was moving back and forth about 1mm. I noticed this today at the range when I was shooting at steel from a distance. My practice session was noted with me hitting about 3 o'clock once in a while, (one group in the A zone, the next group in the C/D zone). Thinking it was totally me screwing up (because it is sometimes). Very fustrating as I was missing steel plates at 12y going at a moderate speed. So I am not sure how long this was loose, I had not touched the thing since the AWARE match.
I shot a few hundred rounds and was thinking I was shooting especially crappy today. I usually finish up with some group shooting or Steel at distances of 35-40 yards, and that was when I noticed it. Almost a waisted range practice, except now I can correct the problem before any matches. Steel match this weekend and this would be especially horrible for that match if it had gone un-noticed. So, my sights weren't off all the time, they were moving back and forth.
