just wondering if somone can shed some light here, in my notifications it saves my inbox messages fine but not my sent items, shouldnt it save both? when I click on sent items it show zero .

No... you have to change it to save sent messages... Default setting is that it doesn not save them

Click on "settings", go to "General Settings" Scoll down to "Private Messanging" and change it to save a copy of sent messages (if thats what you want)
