Nov 7th range day

Beautiful day at the range. Took a couple of Win 70 6.5's, one in 6.5x55 and one in 6.5x06. Also tried some 200 and 215 gr loads in the Rem 700 in 338-06 and 175 gr ABLR loads in the Dumoulin Mauser in 7x61 S&H.










Top to bottom, the 7mm, 338, 6.5-06 and 6.5 Swede. Those Swedes are so sweet to shoot. Little recoil and great on game. - dan

Dang. I can only push those game kings like 2490 with the 6.5x55. Looking for a bit more, been looking at options like the 6.5-06

6.5-06 or 6.5 Rem Mag are very close. Small edge to the 6.5 RM in a standard action. 06 based cartridge doesn't require a magnum bolt face though. - dan
