Novak or Trijicon NS for G.I. 1911

Thanks,Wendell ,your thread is helpful,I've narrow down my search to a Novak
3-dot low mount or a Trijicon 3-dot for my springfield G.I. 1911.

Like the Trijicon ,because it similer to the stock sights in profile, that are on it now but bigger, and are about the same as are on my CZ-75B.

But also like the Novaks because of their low profile, In keeping the lines of the 1911 clean and sleek.

What to do,what to do?????

Forgot to ask if anybody has sent their slide to Novak to get them to do the work and had any trouble getting it back across the border?

Most decent 'smiths can cut the slide for Lo-mounts here in Canada, or you can go with Novak 'Competition' sights which sit higher, but still don't snag. No cutting required but you do need a higher front sight to be staked on.

This is the competition sight on my Norc Compact

I do not know if you can buy King-Tappan sights in Canada; if you can add a gold dot in the front sight and you will be in heaven. Night sites work best in twilight not dark, just one man's opinion. Regards, Richard:)

I guess that the gold bead is the way to go, if you want to depend on your always wearing a battery-powered head lamp. (I don't.)

Your call.
