November Buck

Got this brute about 50kms north of Lac La ##### Alberta. Used my 6.5x55mm Swedish Mauser Sporter with 140grain Hornady bullet. First shot at 20 paces in the lungs, he managed another 100yards, at which time I found him moving with a hobble slowly, an offhand shot through the engine compartment finished my 2008 deer hunt. No weight yet but at least 200lbs dressed, it was a tuff drag but I got him to the truck.

Boys packing these by one self is a lot of work, I had to rig a beam to hoist the bugger finally got him airborn, Looks way bigger hanging head up, My come along got its first use. Anyhow now I got to prep him for the butcher..
