Got out today to try out the Krinkov FH I installed.

I have it mounted on a LMT 10.5" barrelled upper.

Ammo was some of my 62gr SS109 & 55gr FMJBT handloads using H-BLC2.

Here are some observations:

-Tends to make the rifle a little nose heavy (helps with muzzle rise though)
-Tames blast from the short barrel. Not as loud as the Vortex that was mounted.
-No muzzle flash
-No feed/function issues what so ever though roughly 150 rounds
-Hardly any muzzle rise.Slight muzzle rise but was able to keep a sight picure and stay on the target.
-Recoil was very minimal.Lot less then the Vortex I previously had mounted.
-VERY high LCF!!!!! 8)

I wouldnt think it reduces the noise, but rather sends it to the target.

That is correct. It projects the blast/sound forward rather the to the sides.

It is quieter behind & beside the muzzle then a standard type FH.

Just making sure SKBY, I heard club fed isnt fun.

Short AR's sound wise arent so horrible for the shooter, but man if your next to somebody with one and you're trying to shoot precisely its makes it quite a challange. I hope I dont ever have to endure being with someone shooting one of these short 5.56 rifles indoors. I dont like the feelling of your brain oozing out your ears.

Depends on which Club Fed, white collar, or blue collar.

Oldsmoblier was beside me last week when I had the Vortex mounted and he said it was annoyingly loud when he was shooting.

Today I asked the guys shooting around me and they weren't bothered.

Cause they were already deaf from last week! :p

How does the new FH handle fouling? It looks like it would be messy, easily fouled with carbon on the leading edge.

Any chance on more of these coming into the Great White North? People always complain about the noise from my 10.5" - mostly I ignore them ... but I do like to 'play nice'

I want to get one for my 5.5" upper I plan to build. Just so I dont become MR A**hole at the range with more noise then I need. Thanks for the review.
