Noveske Lowers...

I spoke with a sales rep at Noveske when I was trying to get a SWS wrench and she said that the lowers would be available for sale later in the summer. They are now available on completed rifles as they are phasing out the older standard lowers. They are multi-cal, so there is no reason why they should not be exportable.

Well that is great news that they are stamped multi. Should be no problem to get imported. Looks like the waiting game now.

Their standard lower aren't even marked, only their barrel is.

Got mine today. I was surprized since I did not get a tracking number shipped like other packages from Questar. Transfer approved next day in Ontario. Very happy with the lower and the service.

The tracking number is supposed to automatically be emailed to the customer directly by Canada Post at the end of every day (we upload the entire batch to Canada Post each afternoon). Sometimes they miss sending it out to the customer... and the customer doesn't get his notification and tracking number... but a copy is almost always sent to us and we keep that in our files.

If you believe your order has been shipped but you don't get the emailed tracking number from Canada Post, then email our office and we can usually send you a copy of the Canada Post email sent to us.

Im not concerned Mark.....it was a great surprize for the weekend especially since I was not expecting it. I was just wondering if it was a change of proceedures or what not. Thanks for the clarification.

Can you order some of the Magpul lowers that Noveske uses sometimes?

As I stated in Post #18 (above), our Noveske export permit has been used up so that means no more exports unless US State Department approves a new export permit. Until we see what they approve and what restrictions they place on the permit we can't really order anything from Noveske and export it.

Having said that, there are many items that Noveske does not offer for sale separately anymore (their CMV barrels, for example, are ONLY available as part of complete rifles and uppers... they don't sell them on their own anymore). Regardless of what one person previously posted, Noveske continues to tell us that they are NOT selling stripped lowers... of course that may change in future, but right now that is their stated policy and I really can't predict what may happen in future.

When do you think there will be a new export permit avaliable? I missed my chance picking up the afghan :(

State Department has been pretty slow lately... some applications are still pending 12 weeks after we submitted them. I don't expect to hear anything on a new Noveske permit for a few months and who knows if they'll approve it and what restrictions they'll put on it when they do.

I wouldn't expect to hear anything for quite a while... but when we do the info will appear on our website.

Not to be a "####," although me credibility was called into question, but Noveske is stating they will be selling Gen 2 stripped lowers around the end of August on their Facebook site.

Noveske Rifleworks For sale on selected rifles, available stripped later. Maybe a month or so.

They will be for sale, I'd just rather give Questar the business, rather than going through the grief of importing them myself.

I am not calling anyone's credibility into question... I'm not saying that Noveske isn't telling people that they will sell stripped lowers... what I said is that Noveske is telling us that they are NOT available when we ask them.

My point is that we can only buy them if they make them available to us and up to now they tell us the item is NOT available... regardless of what they have said to someone else or posted on Facebook. If that changes then we would be quite willing to import them, but at this point that also means getting another export permit approved by State Department and that is NEVER a guarantee. Regardless of what is stamped on the receiver, State Department can deny the permit and do NOT need to give any reasons for doing so.

What may happen in future is anyone's guess... but it's just that. Until we have an approved export permit and until Noveske tells us directly they will sell us that item and the pricing, it would be ridiculous for me to state that we will have it or that it will be available. I simply don't know that for a fact and so I won't say otherwise.

The last items on our Noveske permit arrived and were put up on the website this weekend... including a few Noveske lowers that were not spoken for.

What you see listed is all that's left. We've applied for a new export permit but probably won't find out for a couple months if it's approved and what restrictions are put on that permit.
