NSR Clone by TNA
First off, great communication, despite the small delay in shipping due to a promotion that was running, the products arrived fast and safe.

Secondly, I have several real noveske nsr rails to compare the TNA clone to.

Observations: dark anodizing, extremely slick feel, came with small blem near first key mod hole, bit thicker than the nsr, Barrel nut does not fit as tight inside the rail and does not appear as robust. All of that I can take for the price tag.

The bad/unacceptable - please don't call this a keymod rail when you cannot mount any keymod parts to it! There is no back cut on the inside of the key mod holes rendering the ability to mount on them useless. No way to mount my key mod based flash light, vertical grip or rail scales. Bit of Internet research leads me to believe these are GunTec/MAS Defense clones - there is some documentation on the American boards with the same issues.

I have not yet mounted this rail, so cannot comment on height/match up with the upper.

Hope this review helps future purchasers, but I would not buy again unless I simply needed a slim rail with no need to mount anything

Update:

Within a few hours I received a personalized email with several return options / ideas - I'm sure it'll be made right, it is mid night in Ontario and I'm getting emails from Zach personally.

Id like to reiterate that customer service has been top notch from day one: modified my ordered, replied to txt msgs within 24 hours, etc

I won't update on this thread anymore, unless I have more to say on the actual product.

The rest is best handled on their forum or PM

I just mounted mine tonight.
I don't think is the NSR clone as it only has one screw at the bottom to index it. I didn't exactly do all my research before I bought it and would have opted for the version with two screws at 3,6 & 9 positions but that's down to me.
It's was easy enough to mount had more hassle with removing the original barrel nut. I'd ordered one of their ar15 wrenches and it did the trick but cheaped out by not buying an upper vise. The wrench it's self seems decently constructed, a little heavy.

Both items seem well made, better thank your average China ####e, I suspect the lads pay a bit more for slightly more QC thanks most eBay/aliexpress sellers.

The barrel nut supplied was aluminium and while not a tight mesh with the uppers threads(Norinco - could be the other reason) , it did tighten up decently enough, it comes with a thread protector that you back out to close the gap and provide a rudimentary insertion for the rail, then screw in a 3mm hex set screw at the bottom of the rail nut.

There is approximately 1mm height difference between the rail and flat top, I'm reasonably impressed with it for the money but I don't think it will be heavy duty enough for my needs, grips and lights will mount no problem, the 2 supplied rails fit easily and securely enough, although I did bollocks up one scew but that was operator error.

But I had wanted to mount an 8.5" Grizzly underneath but I'm uncertain of the durability of the rail to with stand that weight and recoil. Again that's down to me not doing my homework properly and not the rail itself.

I think it's alright for the money, just not suitable for what I want to do but for 3 gun or range use I'd have no problem using it.

I don't understand why folks make "keymod like" products, when its free to aquire the specs to manufacture actual in spec key mod.... Maybe its just my ignorance but that seems a little shady making a product that looks like chicken, smells like chicken, but tastes like fish.

Mostly likely it was made for airsoft therefore not really done to specification.

seems like a lot better quality than airsoft to be honest, but very well could be. but i havent played airsoft since i was 14 years old, and over the last 20-25 years i am sure the quality has come up in that arena.

there are some reports of guys running these rails down the states (i am also assuming its the same manufacturer) without any issue, as long as you dont need to mount anything

Because Keymod has chamfering behind the slot, that means tolerance, a tool change and more time = money In a way, it is a bit of you get what you pay for. Lots of people just want the look, but not necessarily need the function. So this will fit the bill for them.

Another reason why manufacturers embrace M-Lok.

Classic "you get what you pay for". Companies are too cheap or too ignorant to understand that things like Keymod specs can be had for FREE if you would only follow those specs. I see this as a blatant ripoff of the Noveske rail targeted to those who want the look but are unwilling to pay the price of admission. A slap in the face for Noveske.

This could be true, then again most Airsoft players I know use legitimate rails, grips, stocks, and optics on their guns.
